Sjef Frenken was born in Amsterdam and first appeared in Canada in 1951, disguised as a student. He’s infiltrated Canadian life to such extent that he’ll never leave voluntarily. A retired federal civil servant and a contented man, he keeps out of mischief by making music and writing stories

Sjef will perform a 30 minute mini-concert to start the evening followed by our usual all-comers Open Stage. There’s no charge to attend and listening audience members are always welcome. It promises to be a very entertaining evening of music. Hope to see you there.
