Rasputin’s Open Stage is held every Monday evening at 91A Fourth Avenue, a few steps east of Bank Street in the heart of The Glebe (see map). Music begins at 7:00 pm. Please plan to arrive earlier to register if you’d like to perform. Listeners, of course, are also always welcome.
Parking: There’s a loading ramp in front of the building should you need to drop off people, instruments or equipment before parking. A bike rack is available on the premises. Parking for the evening is available in several locations in the area. Click here to see some options .
Size and Ambiance The venue is very clean and attractive, with a beautiful beige carpet and great lighting. There’s ample seating for up to 80. A Green Room is available where instruments can be tuned and stored when not in use.
Food and drink: No food and drink, other than water, are allowed in the concert room but we have a large, fully equipped kitchen where we encourage everyone to bring snacks and non-alcoholic beverages between 6:00 and 7:00 pm, prior to the Open Stage performances. There are also numerous coffee shops and restaurants in the immediate area. We think ‘the kitchen’ will become a favourite place to munch and chat, share and connect.
Accessibility: The concert room at 91A Fourth Avenue is fully accessible. However the kitchen, which is on the lower level, is not.

We’re delighted with this location where we really will be able to create a true “listening room” atmosphere. Hope to see you there on Monday evenings.

Parking for 91A Fourth Avenue
Option 1
Local side streets, including Fourth Avenue, have signage that restricts parking to 2 hours from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm. After 7:00 pm, the restriction is lifted meaning that you can park in these areas for free from anytime after 5:00 pm until 11:00 pm.
Option 2
Parking on Bank Street. This is only permitted in areas where the signage allows for paid parking. Among other things, the signage in these areas says 2 hour parking from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm, Monday to Friday. This means that you must pay from the time you arrive until 7:30 pm, after which it’s free. The cost is $2.00 per half hour. So, for example, if you arrive at 6:30 pm, you must pay for one hour which would bring you to 7:30 pm. Beyond that time, you can park for the remainder of the evening for free.
Option 3
The parkade on Third Avenue just west of Bank Street. This is a pay and display facility with four floors of parking. The first and second floors allow you to park for a maximum of only 2 hours. However, the third and fourth floors allow parking from 7:00 am through to midnight. There’s a working elevator in the building so parking on the upper levels shouldn’t present a problem. The cost is $1.25 per half hour, to a maximum of $15.00. So, if you arrive at 6:30 pm and leave at 10:30 pm, four hours of parking would cost $10.00.
Winter Parking Bans
The city may ban parking between November 15 and April 1 if more than 7 cm of snow or freezing rain is forecast. When parking bans are in effect, corresponding announcements are made on public media. You can check the City of Ottawa website under parking restrictions or use your browser to search for Ottawa winter parking bans.
